Introduction

Welcome to Make Your Move

Make Your Move is a Leisure Education Program designed to provide people with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) the resources, skills, and tools to facilitate independent physical activity. Participants will identify meaningful activities to engage in and understand the benefits of leisure physical activities. By the end of the eight week program, participants will have the ability to choose physical activities of interest, be able to locate destinations, and independently plan for future engagement. Participants will demonstrate acquired knowledge of leisure education by teaching others how this program can improve quality of life. With these skills, participants will have the ability to   increase physical activity involvement to decrease sedentary lifestyles and the risks associated.
